CRYPTOVOX was a family of
true digital voice encryptors
introduced between 1968 and 1983 by Crypto AG (Hagelin) in Zug (Switzerland). The devices provided secure digital communication through
voice-grade
wideband
channels, such as VHF and UHF radio links.
Some of the devices were (partly) developed by
Motorola in the United States
and Siemens in Germany.
