CRYPTOCOM was a family of
voice scramblers
introduced between 1968 and 1983 by Crypto AG (Hagelin) in Zug (Switzerland). The device provided (semi) secure communication through
voice-grade
narrowband
channels, like regular telephone lines and HF radio links.
Some of the devices were (partly) developed by
Motorola
and Siemens.
Note that scramblers are inherently insecure.
