Long range short wave transceiver
- this page is a stub
Angara-1 (Russian: Ангара-1), also known by the designator 2R20
(2Р20),
is a shortwave radio transceiver for
long-range applications, produced from 1982 onwards
by the Egorshinsky Radio Plant in Artemovsky (Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia)
— at the time part of the
Soviet Union (USSR).
Although the device was initially intended for civil use, it became popular
in the military scene as well — for example in Afganistan — as it was relatively
small, climate-resistant and extremely reliable.
It covers a frequency range from 1.6-8 MHz (CW, SSB)
and has a output power of 10 W. 1
