MetOcean Telematics - this page is a stub

MetOcean Telematics, commonly known as MetOcean, is a Canadian multinational electronics com­pany, founded in 1984. The company specialises in (global) surveillance and beacon tracking sys­tems, for which it uses radio frequencies (RF), GSM and a constellation of Irridium satellites. Apart from Canada, MetOcean also has offices in the UK and US. In 2018, MetOcean Telematics inherited the covert surveillance business of Domo Tactical Communications (DTC) (Micromill).



MetOcean products
At present we have no MetOcean Telematics products in our collection. The reason that the com­pany is listed here, is that they inherited the surveillance and beacon tracking business of DTC (which held the former British manufacturer Micromill Electronics) in 2018. One of Micromill's products was a yellow M7142 handheld radio direction finder, which greatly resembles the NOVATECH DF-500N that is currently marketed by MetOcean. It is shown in the image below.
