6V6
The 6V6 is a beam-tetrode in a metal enclosure, developed in the mid-1930s by RCA for use in the audio stages of broadcast receivers. They are frequently found in single-ended or push-pull amplifiers, and even in today's vintage/retro valve-based amplifiers. Apart from the use in audio amplifiers, the 6V6 can also be found in the oscillator and PA stages of short-wave transmitters.
