Siemens T-34 →
Electromechanical teletypewriter · 1930
- this page is a stub
T type 25, abbreviated T-25 is an electromechanical
teletypewriter
(German: Fernschreiber), introduced in 1930 by
Siemens & Halske in Berlin (Germany).
Unlike later Siemens teleprinters, which used the
ITA2 telegraph alphabet,
the T-25 uses a proprietary 29-character encoding.
The device prints its output onto a narrow paper strip and was
only suitable for the American teletype speed of 45.45 baud.
It was succeeded by the T-34 and in 1931 by the T-36 [1].
