Sometimes we have more than one piece of a particular object, or an object that no longer fits the collection. In such cases we may decide to release it as a surplus item via this page, and use the proceeds for restoration and maintenance of the collection, and for acquiring new items. Please note that Crypto Museum has no desire to become a sales outlet for surplus equipment. We are only releasing items to gain space and to raise funds. We can not guarantee the correct operation of the listed equipment. This means that the items are sold 'as is' without any warranty. Furthermore, all sales are final, which means that items cannot be returned.

HC-520
Crypto AG (Hagelin) HC-520 portable encryption device, introduced around 1977 as part of the CRYPTOMATIC family of devices. This particular item was used by the Government of Argentina.

Fully refurbished and tested, but no warrantly as it is an old device. Old Lithium backup batteries removed in order to prevent damage. Supplied with new mains power adapter. Multiple units available. Stock photograph.

    Note that this is the version with a green front panel, which means that it has a 25 kHz channel spacing instead of 50 kHz. Also note that the rare filter unit is included, along with all cables (already fitted at the rear), the antenna with base unit and cable, and the original power cable.

    Original SRR-4 surveillance receiver of the CIA. In excellent condition, with power cable, headphones cable and service cable. Telescopic antenna missing. Fully refurbished in working condition (no warranty though). Very rare.
