Combat net radio system - this page is a stub

Bowman is the codename of the current tactical communications system used by the British Armed Forces. The concept was defined in 1989 in a so-called General Staff Requirement (GSR) as replacement for the ageing Clansman radio system. It consists of a wide range of HF, VHF and UHF radios and is currently being rolled out.
