Zagorski Optiko-Mekhanicheskii Zavod

Zagorski Optiko-Mekhanicheskii Zavod (Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant), abbreviated to ZOMZ (Russian: ЗОМЗ), is a manufacturer of opto-mechanical equipment, founded in 1935 and based in Sergiyev Posad, 50 km north-east of Moscow (Russia). It is part of Shvabe Holding of Rostec [2].

ZOMZ produces precision optical equipment for the military, such as active infrared night vision devices and binoculars, but has meanwhile increased its production of civilian equipment and has adapted some of its military products — e.g. night vision devices — for civilian use [1].
