Essa Electronics - Small Practical Innovation
- this page is a stub
Essa Electronics, also Essa Electronic BV, later known as
Small Practical Innovation (SPI), is an engineering company in The Netherlands,
specialised in the design of electronic circuits and printed circuit boards
(PCBs) for a wide variety of customers. Essa Electronics was founded in 1986
as a one-man operation by Electronics Engineer and ham radio operator Rob Keij.
When ESSA was sold in 1994, it was renamed ESSA Electronic BV (Ltd) and
moved to Heemstede, some 10 km south of IJmuiden. A year later – in 1995 – the
company was re-established by the original owner as
Small Practical Innovation (SPI) and moved to Heerhugowaard – some 15 km north
of IJmuiden – where it is still based today (2024) [3].
An overview of the many projects
that have been carried out since 1986, used to be available on the SPI website
[2].
