Collins Radio Company
- this page is a stub
Collins Radio Company (later: Rockwell Collins), was a multinational
corporation, founded in 1933 by Arthur A. Collins and
headquartered in Cedar Rapids (Iowa, USA).
The company provided avionics and IT systems and
services for US government agencies and aircraft manufacturers [1].
In 1973, facing financial difficulties, the Collins Radio Company was purchased
by Rockwell International. In 2001, Rockwell's avionics division was spun
off into Rockwell Collins. On 27 November 2018, the latter was acquired by United
Technologies Corporation and went on as Collins Aerospace, a subsidary of
Raytheon Technologies.
