OTT USSR
One-time tape cipher machine
- this page is a stub
M-100, codenamed СПЕКТР (Spectrum),
is a one-time tape (OTT) cipher machine, also known as a
mixer, developed between 1931 and 1937 by Ivan Volosok
in the former Soviet Union (USSR).
The first prototype of the machine was ready in 1932,
but it took until 1938 before it could be produced in quantity [1].
It is arguably the first OTT cipher machine
that went into production.
