Tiger 7401
Secure GSM phone - this page is a stub

Tiger 7401 is a cryptographically secured hardened mobile GSM telephone, introduced in 2013 by Sectra Communications AB in Linköping (Sweden). The device is suitable for voice calls, SMS and data, and is approved by the governments of Sweden and The Netherlands for communication up to (NATO) SECRET. It was succeeded in 2023 by the quantum-resistant Tiger 7401/LTE.

The device is available in two versions: Tiger/R for communication up to the level of Restricted (including NATO Restricted) and Tiger/S for communication up to the level of SECRET (also NATO Secret). The /S version is interoperable with the /R version, albeit with reduced security. The /S version is also backwards compatible with the Tiger/S XS. The /S version waa approved in 2013 for use by the Dutch Government, the EU and NATO.
