The device is housed in a plastic enclosure.
It consists of two plastic case shells that are held together with a single
screw, hidden below the white text label at the bottom. After removing the
label and the screw, the two case shells can be separated and the interior
is exposed.
From the date codes on the various components it seems likely that the device
featured here was manufactured in late 1997 or early 1998.
