Cyclometer
Enigma codebreaking device - this page is a stub

The cyclometer (Polish: Cyklometr) was an electromechanical cryptologic device, developed in 1934 or 1935 by Marian Rejewski of the German Section (BS-4) of the Polish Cipher Bureau, to facilitate decryption of traffic created on the German Army 3-wheel Enigma cipher machine [1].

The image on the right was created by the people behind the International Cryptology Game website CODEBREAKERS.EU [2] and gives a good impression of what the machine might have looked like. The artwork is based on an original sketch made by Rejewski after the war.
