Tesla ZO-31
Base station - this page is a stub

ZO-31 was a radio base station, developed by Tesla in Czechoslovakia in the mid-1980s, as the base station for communication with the PR-31 (PS-31) TROIKA portable radio station. The set was used by the police forces of Czechoslovakia - the SNB 1 - and East-Germany (DDR) - the Volkspolizei. It was also used by the much feared East-German intelligence service, the Stasi.

The image on the right shows an operational ZO-31 base station, as it is on display at the edicational collection of the police training centre in Dommitzsch (Germany). The monitor on top of the set shows the current status of any received (coded) messages.
