RX-788 is a covert listening device (bug), disguised as a regular Motorola pager, introduced in 1992 by Audio Intelligence Devices (AID) in Fort Lauderdale (Florida, USA). The device has a built-in subminiature microphone that picks up room audio and transmits it on a spot frequency in the VHF radio band between 150 and 174 MHz, using Frequency Modulation (FM) and no encryption.
