This page will eventually hold a timeline with all Enigma-related
events, from the invention, to WWII.
Below is currently an attempt to create a usable timeline.
Please note that the contents of the table are by no means correct
and are therefore subject to changes in the future.
Eventually, it is our aim to make all items in the table clickable.

From the timeline above, it seems that most patents were filed before WWII
and that no new patents were filed during the war. This is in fact not true,
as the developer Heimsoeth und Rinke had an active track record of
developing new products and improvements, most of which were secretly filed
during the war. At the end of the war the secret patent registers were
either destroyed or confiscated by the enemy.

The current version of the above timeline is currently not available
for download and may not be copied or used without prior consent from us.
As soon as the timeline is in a more 'mature' state, it will be made
available under the same conditions as the Enigma Family Tree.
